What's the difference for the solenoids and motor?

A solenoid is essentially a coil of wire that generates a magnetic field when electric current passes through it. When a solenoid is energized, it creates a linear motion in a plunger or core that is attached to it. Solenoids are commonly used in applications where a simple on-off motion is required, such as in valves, locks, and relays.


On the other hand, a motor is a device that also uses magnetic fields to generate motion but typically produces rotational motion. Motors consist of coils of wire (wound around an armature or stator) and a system of magnets that interact to create the movement. Motors are used in a wide range of applications, including robotics, industrial machinery, and automotive systems.


why same size solenoids' price higher?

The price difference between solenoids and motors can vary depending on several factors, including their complexity, design, and manufacturing processes. However, solenoids are often smaller and simpler devices compared to motors, leading to lower production costs. Motors, especially high-performance or specialized ones, tend to be more complex and require precise engineering and manufacturing techniques, resulting in higher production costs and subsequently higher prices.


For small solenoids and motors, the solenids used many customized CNC parts or injection parts, at the same time, motors use common parts. That's the why cost less for motors. 


Additionally, market demand and economies of scale can also affect the pricing of solenoids and motors. If the demand for solenoids is higher compared to motors, it could potentially drive up their prices.


It's important to note that the price difference between solenoids and motors is not a hard-and-fast rule and can vary depending on specific product specifications, manufacturers, and market conditions.
