Nextcore Electronic - Dual Latching Solenoid Product Launch

NEXTCORE ELECTRONIC CO., LTD.

Professional Industrial Solenoid Manufacturer & OEM/ODM Solutions

Product Overview

Nextcore Electronic introduces its high-performance Dual Latching Solenoid (Bistable Electromagnet), specifically engineered for applications requiring minimal power consumption and long-term position holding. Unlike standard continuous-duty solenoids, this dual latching model utilizes internal permanent magnets to hold the plunger securely in both extreme positions (extended and retracted) without consuming any electrical energy.

Power is only required as a short pulse to transition the plunger from one state to another. This makes it an ideal choice for battery-powered medical instruments, automotive locking systems, and automated industrial machinery.

Key Performance & Design Features
  • Bistable Power Efficiency: Energy is consumed only during state switching (pulse width τ ≤ 50ms). Zero power holding drastically reduces thermal dissipation.
  • Optimized Stroke & Force Curve: Delivers a balanced output across a 6mm linear stroke, ensuring precise positioning and robust locking mechanism.
  • High-Durability Coils: Manufactured using precision-wound Class H/F insulation copper wire to prevent premature burnouts and ensure a lifetime of > 1,000,000 cycles.
  • Customizable Configuration: Voltage, stroke length, force characteristics, and mounting options can be fully customized by Nextcore engineering team to match your exact OEM specifications.

Principles of Operation & Driving Formula

The switching mechanism relies on changing the polarity of the applied DC pulse voltage. The force required to overcome the internal permanent magnet retention during switching is proportional to the coil magnetic flux density:

F_m = rac{(N imes I)^2 imes \mu_0 imes A}{2 imes g^2}

Where N represents coil turns, I is the peak pulse current, μ_0 is vacuum permeability, A is the core cross-sectional area, and g is the working air gap. Nextcore optimizes the N imes I ratio to ensure the lowest switching threshold while maintaining maximum holding stability.

Typical Industrial Applications
  • Automotive Electronics: Central locking systems, fuel filler flap locking actuators.
  • Smart Utilities & IoT: Pre-paid smart water/gas meters, remote valve shut-off units.
  • Medical Equipment: Portable diagnostics, automated fluid control, battery-operated dosing systems.
  • Access Control: Electronic safe locks, intelligent cabinet storage, office security doors.
